Projects to Empower and Organize the Psychiatrically Labeled
(PEOPLe, Inc.)

We are adults of every age and social standing who share psychiatric diagnoses or the extraordinary experience of extreme emotional states. We have been empowered over the years to work within our communities to advocate for and with others that are psychiatrically labeled. As a group we possess rich experiences which include poverty, stigma/discrimination and emotional suffering. We have also experienced the joy of hope, recovery, and achieving successful productive lives

We are a
nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights and choices of people who experience psychiatric symptoms. We advocate for change that promotes recovery and independence within the mental health system. We collaborate and negotiate with local service providers, based on our memberships' choices, to create a more responsive system that is outcome-driven and recovery-focused.

We are a 100% consumer operated agency that provides peer support and advocacy services to consumers of the mental health system. It is our mission to promote recovery, personal responsibility and self-advocacy skills to assist individuals in taking control of their own treatment and recovery. We foster skills that promote a sense of empowerment and self-respect.

"Ask our staff about advance directives or the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and learn how you can use these documents to take control of your treatment."
